FOI Provides Staff/Teacher Appreciation throughout the year!
Each month a group of parents honor our teachers and staff in some way with funds from FOI and donations from local businesses. These events go a long way in saying thank you to the people who work so hard to provide a safe and successful learning environment for all of our students.
We have served lunches donated by parents, had a coffee cart and bagels, pastries, snacks and cookies donated by parents, handwritten thank you cards to every teacher and staff person, bags of sunshine to brighten dreary January days, cookies, ice cream, a catered lunch, etc.
2024/2025 Teacher appreciation calendar
August 29 - coffee generously donated by Starbucks Coffee and Cloud City Coffee and muffins donated by FOI for teachers and staff during a district mandated training before the start of school
September (moved to Oct 2) - Mini donuts and coffee generously donated by Mighty-O donuts in Ballard
October 21- Caramel apple bar
November- Seattle Espresso coffee cart donated by FOI & bagels donated by Eltana bagels and FOI
December- Cookies donated by parents
January- Bags of sunshine donated by FOI
February- Love (thank you) notes hand written by FOI board members, parents are welcome to join in also!
March- Catered Lunch donated by Kao Samai and FOI
April- Admin Appreciation
May 5-9 - Principal appreciation AND Teacher appreciation week - We’ll have asks for donations from parents all week long to show our appreciation. SIGN UP GENIUS Coming Soon!

Thank you in advance for your time, talent and donations! Your donations to our annual appeal in November fund our teacher appreciation efforts.
